On 26 July 2016 PriceSanond’s Douglas Mancill spoke on the U.S. Foreign Corruption Act (FCPA) at a joint event of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand on anti-corruption laws. Mr. Mancill covered the basic elements of both prongs of the FCPA: (1) the anti-corruption provisions; and the (2) books and records provisions of the FCPA. He also addressed the latest developments in FCPA enforcement activity and provided an overview of suggested compliance measures. His presentation also lists the top 10 FCPA enforcement actions (interestingly, only two of the ten top cases brought under this U.S. law concerned “American” companies). The PowerPoint presentation of Mr. Mancill can be accessed by clicking here.
