Stephen Frost originally qualified as a solicitor in the UK. He has lived in Thailand for over 25 years. He specializes in corporate and commercial law, due diligence and company takeovers, joint ventures, banking and security, property, and employment. He has been involved in many international takeover transactions, and cross border loan transactions and security. He also spent one year outside law, working with Central Group, the largest retailing group in Thailand.
He has written and lectured in Thailand and overseas on many subjects including: doing business in Thailand, foreign business and property ownership, international loan transactions and security, joint ventures, and tax on M & A transactions.
He is a director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and Chairman of the Legal and Taxation sub-committee. He writes for the BCCT website and for Asia Watch magazine published by CCH. He has written the Thailand section in many books including on: financial reporting, labour law, telecommunications, equity markets, competition, and limitation periods. He is the current Thailand chapter editor of four encyclopaedias on: companies and partnerships, wills and probate, international commercial litigation and enforcing foreign judgments. With a previous law firm, he was the editor of a 100,000 word English language guide to essential laws of Thailand for foreign investors.
