Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conducting trademark and patent searches and analysis
- Advising clients on registrability of trademarks and patents
- Preparing and filing trademark and patent registration applications
- Providing consultancy and responding to inquiries for trademark, patent and/or other IP-related matters, including application procedures and estimated costs and related matters
- Handing contentious trademark and patent matters including filing cancellation actions, sending cease and desist letters and negotiating in relation to conflict, etc.
- Formulating strategies, providing opinions and analytical responses to client and potential client requests for advice, and acting as a client contact
- Supporting lawyers in other areas of practice and performing other necessary tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Thai national
- Bachelor or master degree in law or in engineering
- Lawyer license
- Patent license, an advantage
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Chinese language ability (spoken and written) an advantage
- At least 5 years’ direct experience in handling trademark and patent matters
- Analytical, articulate and has excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to client service
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible on working hours
- Computer literate (advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills)
